Changan's Qiyuan (Nevo) brand has launched the 2027 A06 sedan, and the pitch fits in one breath: an 800V silicon-carbide high-voltage platform, CATL batteries across the entire range, and 6C fast charging that takes the pack from 30% to 80% in nine minutes. Official pricing runs RMB 119,900 to 159,900 (USD 17,700 to 23,600) across five trims, with a limited-time launch price of RMB 116,900 to 156,900 (USD 17,300 to 23,200).

The trim ladder is cleanly spaced: the 630 Comfort and 630 Premium trims anchor the range at RMB 119,900 and 129,900, the 630 Laser Premium sits at RMB 139,900, while the 800 Laser Flagship and 800 Laser Long-Range top out at RMB 149,900 and 159,900. Buyers who order early get up to RMB 38,000 in combined purchase benefits. The new exterior colour lineup — one shade per car, as the marketing line goes — is shown off by the launch car's deep red flanks.

Note what is no longer negotiable in this segment: an 800V platform and 6C charging were halo features on cars twice this price two years ago. By making CATL cells standard on every trim — not just the flagship — Changan is turning charging speed from a spec-sheet trophy into a baseline expectation. At roughly USD 17,700 to start, the A06 is effectively telling rivals like BYD Qin L and Geely Galaxy E5 that the fast-charging war has moved downmarket.
The sub-10-minute charge session is the headline, but the real story is the price. When 6C reaches the RMB 120,000 bracket, every EV above it needs a new answer.
Editor's Note: Nine minutes for 30-80% is genuinely impressive, but let's be honest — the number that will scare competitors is RMB 119,900. Hardware leadership is now being given away as a launch gift.
