AVATR has pulled the covers off the T09 Concept, its first high-end flagship co-designed with Huawei's Qiankun (乾崑) team, making its global debut on October 11. The design lineage traces back to the VISION XPECTRA concept — and you can see it: the upright shield-like face, the razor-thin light bars, and a roof-mounted sensor pod that quietly announces the Huawei ADAS hardware underneath.

The boxy, long-wheelbase stance puts the T09 square in Range Rover territory — or, if you prefer the domestic frame of reference, the lane where the Wenjie M9 prints money. That is clearly the point. AVATR has done well with the 11, 12 and 07, but a true flagship is less a volume play than a statement that the brand can charge serious money and still walk the walk.
A concept first, of course — production details, powertrain and pricing remain unannounced. But the geometry of it all is telling: Changan's manufacturing, CATL's batteries, and Huawei's brains, wrapped in one very expensive-looking box. The flagship SUV contest in China just got a third serious party.
