As one of the first NEV brands to adopt Weiqiao’s aluminum in mass production, ROX Motor showcased the ROX 01 body-in-white at the exhibition booth of Hongqiao Group, a subsidiary of Weiqiao, presenting a panoramic view of its technological achievements and strategic layout in lightweighting. Leveraging Weiqiao’s solid industrial foundation and shared technical vision, the two parties are collaborating to explore new pathways for high-end NEV development, with lightweight technological innovation as the key lever.

Lightweighting Empowers High-End NEV Performance Foundations
Lightweighting is a crucial pillar for high-end NEVs to surpass performance boundaries. A lighter body enhances energy efficiency, extends range, reduces inertia for better handling responsiveness, and elevates driving refinement without compromising safety. Thus, lightweight technology has become the foundational logic for balancing the three core demands of high-end NEVs: power, safety, and range.

ROX Motor consistently drives the evolution of all-terrain luxury NEV products through innovative technology, actively advancing the R&D and practical application of lightweight solutions. Its debut model, the ROX 01, incorporates over 745 kg of aluminum alloy, combined with an 87.7% high-strength steel ratio and innovative composite structure design, achieving a 30% reduction in total vehicle weight. More critically, while “slimming down,” the ROX 01 maintains a rock-solid build—boasting a torsional stiffness of 40,469 Nm/deg and earning straight “Excellent (G)” ratings in the rigorous C-IASI crash tests. This not only improves range but also ensures reliable body integrity for all-terrain adventures, striking an impeccable balance between “lighter” and “stronger.”
