Leading Chinese Automakers Gather to Shape Overseas Expansion Strategies
China Automotive Overseas Market Information Association successfully hosted its inaugural Asia-Pacific and Middle East regional conferences in Bangkok (August 20) and Dubai (August 26). Under the theme “Unity Creates Strength: From China to the World,” the events brought together executives from China’s top automakers to align regional market strategies and accelerate global brand development.

Organized in partnership with Huawei Technologies (Thailand) and Huawei UAE, the conferences attracted participation from Geely’s Zeekr, Great Wall Motors, BYD, Changan, GAC, and other major Chinese automakers. Strategic supporters included British automotive data firm JATO and China’s Beibu Gulf Port Group.
Key discussions focused on market conditions, EV transition trends, sales network optimization, joint marketing strategies, and promoting China’s automotive standards internationally. Manufacturers shared market achievements, 2026 targets, and product roadmaps, while addressing critical challenges like improving overseas after-sales service networks.

Dubai’s Legend Holdings Group and technology leaders including Du CTO participated in the Middle East session. The Think Tank announced forthcoming conferences in Europe, North America, and Central Asia to further support China’s automotive globalization.
These inaugural meetings demonstrate Chinese automakers’ coordinated push into international markets through shared intelligence and strategic alignment, particularly in accelerating electrification and establishing service infrastructure abroad.
