April 16, 2025 (Dubai) — IM Motors has partnered with UAE’s SMART MOBILITY International (SMI) to establish its premium EV presence in the Gulf, with operational showrooms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The rollout begins with the LS7 SUV featuring:
- Product Strategy: LS7 Middle East edition debuts with zero-gravity seats and IM AD autonomous driving; IM6 (LS6 overseas) and IM5 (L5 overseas) to follow
- Market Plan: UAE as regional hub, Saudi expansion in 2025, then full Middle East coverage by 2026
- Tech Transfer: SAIC’s battery/motor tech introduced first; range-extended models coming 2026
- Local Endorsement: SMI CEO Mutaz Louis calls this a “decisive step in Gulf’s smart mobility transition”
